Someone I am VERY proud of....

This past weekend my little bro, John, graduated from MUSC with a second undergraduate degree in cardiovascular perfusion. We are all very proud of him and his accomplishments over these last two years.

This was at an awards ceremony on Thursday night.

The commencement speaker on Friday morning was Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish - I thought that was pretty cool!

This is a terrible picture of John right after he received his diploma but proof nontheless. Jessica's super cool camera with a super zoom lense got a much better picture that I will get from her sometime :)

Strawberry Pickin'

We went to a strawberry patch with some friends to pick strawberries to freeze for smoothies this summer and also for some fresh ones to enjoy!

We had a great time! I learned that Harrison really enjoys, and is very good at picking strawberries. In the first picture you can see how full his bucket already is and he didn't stop until it was to the top and then helped me fill Emilee's bucket as well.

I also learned that Emilee likes to eat fresh picked strawberries, leaves and all! We have given her strawberries from the grocery store that she wouldn't touch and since we have been back she really doesn't even like the ones that we picked and brought home, but she loaded up on strawberries this day!

Mother's Day

*** Agghhhhhh..... I started this post the day after Mother's Day and totally forgot I never finished it - sorry it's so late :)


My Mother's Day started last Thursday at Harrison's school. They had brunch for us and a small program of the kids singing songs about their moms. It was adorable and I loved every minute of it!

Sunday we went to church and then Mike and the kids took me to lunch. We had pictures when we got home and then I took a 2 hr. nap (my mother's day wish!). Some of Mike's family came over that evening for strawberry shortcake - it was a very nice day!

Emilee's first hair cut!

I wasn't really ready for Emilee to get her hair cut, but I decided it was looking a little too mullet-like for me! Here are the pictures:
