Ava's Dedication

We went to Macon last Sunday for Ava's dedication. She looked beautiful in her long white gown and was a perfect baby throughout the entire service! Check out the proud parents!

Fun with the cousins!

Harrison had fun playing with his cousins Jack and Charlotte last time we were in SC.

Good catch Jack!

Look how innocent.

Charlotte loved wearing the football helmet like big brother Jack!
Harrison being lovey with Charlotte
Muscle man Jack!

Speaking of dinner

Ok so we had a frozen pizza tonight because I did not feel like cooking! I am having a really hard time cooking for just me and Harrison. I think I really only know how to cook for a whole family. I rarely cooked just the right amount for Mike and me without having leftovers!
Does anyone out there have any really good, really quick meal ideas that don't come from a box!!! I am not a big box dinner eater but desperate times call for desperate measures. I would appreciate any meal ideas.

Also, Jackie if you read this I would love the recipe for the enchiladas you brought to mom and dad's while I was there! They were great!

Dinner

I am beginning to let Harrison feed himself a little more from time to time so he can learn how to hold his spoon. I do not want to do it too early because I am not into cleaning up a huge mess after each meal.

Tonight we just had pizza and Harrison had some garden vegetable baby food (that he will thankfully still eat b/c it is hard to always have veggies that are soft enough for him to chew at each meal~!)

I call this a pizza beard with a garden vegetable goatee!

I obviously clicked this picture at just the right time ~ I laughed my head off after I took it and saw the face he was making...

Teeth

Harrison is getting two of his top molars in and it is not fun at all. He started having swollen gums around Christmas and now almost a month later all I can see are 2 little while dots that have broken through the gum. He has been in pretty good spirits (meaning he has at least been sleeping through the night except for one) but he doesn't want to eat anything too hard (which is making meal time very difficult) and he is much crankier than normal. I don't know how long this is supposed to last but I am so ready for those teeth to come through. He didn't have a bit of trouble with is first 8 teeth. I never even had to use Orajel. This time I am thinking about trying it though. I have also heard of some medicine called Hurricane that is supposed to work even better than Orajel. If those big molars don't come through quickly I am going to have to get something to help. Pray that they will come through soon!

God knew exactly what he was doing when he made babies be the ones to have their teeth come in first ~ can you imagine the complaints if he waited until we were adults!!!

More Snow!

Harrison liked the snow much better the second time and Mike got to be with us!

Uh-oh!!!
He was trying to get the snow off of his gloves!

He liked hearing it crunch under his feet.

The family in the snow. Harrison was not happy because he fell in a puddle and his gloves got wet and his hands were cold. We had to go inside right after this picture. The snowflakes are making Mike look a little posessed!

The dogs were not very pleased with the snow and thought we were trying to freeze them to death!

Cramped

Harrison is obviously feeling a little cramped in his crib! He must me trying to tell us to buy him a toddler bed ~ ha ha...

He has got a hold of a bobbie (pacie) just in case the one in his mouth falls out!

It's GONE

Well, it went as quickly as it came and here is all we have to show for it at our house~!

It's SNOWING!!!!

Today Harrison and I went to Macon to have pictures taken at Picture People. Amanda and John had Ava's pictures taken too. At 2 when we were on our way to the mall it was icing ~ which is amazing in Macon! We got back to John and Amanda's house around 5 and I decided I had better leave just in case the weather got any worse (it was just raining there then). The closer I got to my exit the more snow I saw on the sides of the road. When I got about 15 min. from my house there were huge snowflakes falling from the sky! It was beautiful to see, especially since I haven't seen the least bit of snow in several years. When got to our house the snowflakes were much smaller but still coming down and the driveway was very slushy! We ran outside so Harrison could experience some snow (since it might be all he sees) and so I could take a few pictures. It isn't really doing anything right now so I don't know if it will still be there tomorrow or not ~ I wouldn't mind being snowed in for a day though! I only wish Mike was here to share it with us and I hope he can get home tomorrow night without any trouble!

Our deck covered in snow!
Harrison was not really happy when I set him down b/c he had just woken up from a nap in the car.
Our snowman ~ he was only about 6 inches tall!

PS ~ I hope you get snow tonight too SC

PPS ~ Harrison's pictures and Ava's pictures turned out great at the Picture People!

I have hair ~ Look!

Thief!

I was eating a lollipop from my stocking the other day when I made the wrong decision to give Harrison a lick. He licked it and said "mmm...", went off to play and then came back for another lick. He licked it again and said "mmm..." and stood there for another lick! After his third lick he decided he should be the one holding the lollipop and he took it from me. Needless to say he loved it and cried when I took it away from him (I didn't want all of his teeth to rot out!) Now I schedule lollipop sessions when Harrison is not around :)

Max is 2!!!

Harrison and Great Grammy Noyes

We were so happy to get to have Grammy in SC with us for Christmas. She couldn't believe how much Harrison had changed and loved when he said "uh-oh" when he threw something down. Harrison unfortunately was not in the greatest of moods while Grammy was here except for the last day. They did get to have some buddy reading time though one night before he went to bed.
We can't wait to get up to CT and see Grammy soon!

PS. I am still catching up blogging from Christmas ~ sorry!

Pictures from Christmas

John to the Phillipeans

Just wanted to ask everyone to pray for John today. He is leaving around 4pm for a 12 day trip to the Phillipeans. He is going to help a missionary with a basketball tournament. I will let everyone know how it goes when he gets back!

Also, remember Jessica in your prayers too. She will be here alone and will be missing John on her birthday tomorrow!

This is a really old picture, but I don't have any new ones until my camera battery charges!

We're Back

Sorry for disappearing for so long! We were in SC for 10 and returned to GA on January 4th. We have stayed very busy taking down Christmas decorations, finding place for all the new Christmas toys and cleaning up from all the hustle before we left!
We also discovered when we returned to GA that our MLS on our house had expired and our realtor hadn't let us know (we just happened to check to see if she had lowered the price only to find that our house wasn't there anymore!) So.... we have also been finding a new realtor, touching up paint spots in the house and doing a DEEP cleaning before all the realtors she works with walked through the house to give me feed back about what to do to make it show better! Let me just tell you that was a busy day ~ I got the call around noon on Tuesday saying that they would be coming around 10 on Wed. morning!!! I said I had cleaned after I put up the Christmas decorations but not well enough for them to walk through! I was on a major cleaning mission Tuesday until about 11 that night. Harrison just makes cleaning much more difficult for me and it takes a lot longer. He wants to help by taking everything I put away back out again. Let me just say that Wed. morning before they came I think he watched 3 videos IN A ROW (I know that is horrible) just so I could get everything finished the way I wanted it. I do not suggest to anyone with a one year old or any child that can walk and doesn't listen that well yet to try and move unless it is just absolutely necessary!

I will get busy posting some pictures as soon as my camera battery charges!
